How I work
Two rules govern everything published here. First, the word lists are the source of truth: when a guide quotes a statistic — the best Wordle opener, the number of words without a U after their Q — it is computed from this site's own 168,401-word dictionary, not copied from elsewhere, so readers can check any figure against the lists we publish. Second, where a fact comes from outside our data (a dictionary's entry count, a game's history), the guide says whose figure it is. Corrections are always welcome and acted on.
